I’m buying property in Prescott Valley (close this week) and my wife is actively exploring the various options and features available with a local builder. It is looking like we will have a house there within a year. I’m thinking I’ll still have an office in California but I’ll eventually have one in Arizona too.
The costs will of being in California are exploding. My home insurance tripled for 2026 because they declared most of California to be in a fire zone. Income taxes are insane. Gas has not been below $5 for at least 4 years. It all adds up.
 
Now how is this for a twist. For those that know, the Postal Service in all form, UPS, Fed-Ex, China post, DHL. USPS all think that my address is in an alternate Universe. As such, the on going joke is instead of "Where's Waldo", it is "Where is Dave's Gift been mailed to"

HA HAAA this year the joke is on you! I have had this for over a week, but just put up the Christmas Tree today, so I had to wait to take a photo, and here is the proof!

... and even a Tiffany & Co Box. The Greatest way to my heart, a Diamond Encrusted Peppermint stick I bet! Now the wait begins...... But to keep in tradition alive for the rest of your Blokes....

It will be the best decision you make! I don't know how people can afford to live in California under those conditions. Hope the transition is a smooth one!

Well if I have to wait until the tree is up to take a pic, then you all will be waiting a few weeks to hear from me.
 
With so many of us waiting until the last day to ship (myself included), it's going to make an exciting week ahead for incoming deliveries and updates in this thread!

To echo what @BarberDave said (hard to believe he is helpful) you do not need to have your tree up to post a pic for all the good boys and girls to see your photos.
 
One last announcement for the day. As you know there were some issues with the Red One Sleigh, so we had another one made. So, Santa, me and the team will be conducting flight tests for most of the day. So, any DM's regarding Gifts will be returned this afternoon or evening
