from the only thing i saw about it was that when you pick the best blade for you that the results are very similar to an ac blade but its shorter so supposedly more manuverable

Just read some reviews and if you snap a blade in 2 there can be fitment issues. Need to buy half blades most likely. Not a problem but worth noting.

Give it a shot! But DE blade is quite a bit thinner than an AC so hard to think they would feel the same. In fact, we should send one to @Cvargo for bad blade video review.

At first blush it looks kind of cool, certainly the kind of thing a guy looking to get into the hobby would drool over. Great price, long lines, big ol Blade. But to the guys that have had a serving of face filet courtesy of a DE/half DE contraption looking less sexy than that ...cringe worthy is a mild description.

DON has a pretty awesome looking DE beast that eats face for breakfast...convinced me to get something similar. Mine nibbles cheek too.

Design of blade holder seems to delicate for zinc alloy, specialy that pin holes.

I have a bunch more blades ready to go to @Cvargo. I think adding one of these to the package might be a good addition.

FYI: If you are going to use one of these, I definitely suggest you glass the corners of the blade before loading it into the razor. This will help cut down on the face filleting that DE shavettes are known for.

EDIT: I also give DE shavettes a few laps on a leather strop after loading the blade. I think it helps calm the blade down. You could also towel or palm strop before loading the blade.

i havent gotten one i was just posting it in case any one else was interested because it does look kind of neat and honestly isnt a bad idea if traveling because you could use whatever blades if flying once you arrived at your destination......
